Take just a brief moment to watch the following video and consider why you should be in Atlanta this January for the 2018 G3 Conference focused on discipleship. Consider sending your pastor and his wife or your pastoral staff from your local church.

Rosaria Butterfield: “Why I Signed the Nashville Statement” — “The issue is not primarily homosexuality; it’s Scripture.”

Wycliffe in 200 words — “ JOHN WYCLIFFE (1320-1384) John Wycliffe is known as the first English reformer. He was a Priest in England when he began reading the Bible in Latin and saw how unbiblical Catholic doctrine had become.”

The Nashville Statement (First Hour), Racialism Dividing the Church (2nd Hour) — Some good commentary over important issues in our culture today.

$5 Friday: Grace, Suffering, & Perseverance — Some good books for just $5.

The Priority of Preaching — “When the minister of the gospel faces the Lord God as judge, there will be many questions addressed to him. There will be many standards of accountability. There will be many criteria of judgment. But in the end, the most essential criterion of judgment for the minister of God is, “Did you preach the Word? Did you fully carry out the ministry of the Word? In season and out of season, was the priority of your ministry the preaching of the Word?”

No Such Thing As Chance — “Let’s be honest: our street-level theology isn’t as strong as we want it to be. We don’t actually trust in the sovereignty of God as much as we say we do. Phrases such as ‘good luck, ‘it was a coincidence,’ ‘serendipity,’ or ‘as fate would have it’ easily fall from our lips (or flood our thoughts) as we describe (or reflect on) our situations, locations, and relationships of everyday life.”

Apple to remove home button in upcoming high-end iPhone, report says — The next iPhone reveal will happen September 12th, and the rumors are all circulating as to what the next iPhone update will reveal.  Staying the same is unacceptable in our fast-paced digital age.

“Except a man be born again, he will wish one day he had never been born at all.” —J.C. Ryle
