In this short video, Tim Chalies provides the history of and explanation behind the sermon that Paul Washer preached in Montgomery Alabama to 5,000 youth. That sermon has been used to save hundreds – perhaps thousands of people. It has been titled, “The Most Shocking Youth Sermon.”

When Your Spouse Won’t Join a Solid Church — Some good advice and biblical wisdom here for such a burdensome issue.

Psalm 1:2: Memorize the Bible to Maximize Your Joy — “Memorizing God’s word puts heavenly treasure in the pockets of the mind and the heart.”

When Hot-Button Issues Cry Out to Young Pastors — “Pastoring can be tricky. Especially if we are younger. And especially in this world. Things are always happening. Lots of things. If you’ve struggled like I have, sometimes it’s hard to tell which of those things need my attention. On top of that, it can be hard to tell which of those things are things.”

His Head and Heart Were God’s: Jonathan Edwards (1703–1758) — “If you look at Jonathan Edwards from the wrong standpoint, everything is wrong. Some people look at him as a great eighteenth-century thinker, writer, and preacher, and that is as far as they go.”

Deep Theology — “Within twenty-four hours before His crucifixion, the Lord Jesus expressed His love in exquisite fashion. He rose from supper, wrapped a servant’s towel around His waist, and washed the dirty feet of His disciples (including, apparently, Judas Iscariot’s; John 13:3–5, 21–30). It was an acted parable, as John explains: “Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end” (v. 1).”
