Consider making your plans to join us in January for the 2018 G3 Conference.  The theme will be focused on discipleship.  I hope to see you there in January.  Details and registration can be found at G3Conference.com.

The Church’s One Foundation — “If the foundation of the church is shaken, can the church survive? No. But what is the foundation of the church? Answering that question correctly will help us guard the foundation and preserve His truth.”

How Do I Love God More Than My Entertainment? — “What should we do if the thrills of TV, movies, video games, and sports feel more interesting than spending time with God?”

No Persecution, Including Shootings, Will Silence the Church — “Last Sunday also happened to be the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, a global day of intercession for persecuted Christians worldwide. The Texas shooting was a horrific glimpse of the persecution and violence that our brothers and sisters in Christ experience. And just as our fellow believers can’t be persuaded to abandon their faith because of persecution, such violence in our own churches won’t stop us from gathering and proclaiming and celebrating the Good News of Jesus.”

The Men Who Make Tetzel Look Tame — “While Luther’s protest stymied that particular form of religious racketeering, God’s grace and blessings are still for sale today in the religious marketplace. And modern indulgences are no longer the exclusive domain of Roman Catholicism. Protestantism has now been infiltrated by a modern breed of indulgence salesmen—charlatans every bit as skilled as Tetzel when it comes to swindling contemporary churchgoers.”

Playing Christmas Music Before Thanksgiving Now A Federal Crime — This is one new law that I would support.

Wittenberg at 500 — “The clarion call of the Reformation is as desperately needed today as it ever was, yet after 500 years it has become muddled once again. And many evangelicals nowadays are denying the very roots of the Reformation—the imputation of Christ’s righteousness to our accounts, our Lord suffering God’s wrath in our place on the cross, salvation as a free gift (not based on our works), Scripture as our final authority, the exaltation of Christ.”

The Trap of Young Adulthood — “We need the gospel, not the next thing. It is the only message with the power to help us drop the shiny object, slide our paws out of the trap, and raise our hands in worship to the Christ.”
